Hi all,
I've bought a Triton tr1 monofoil and would like a pocket board to use with it. 100 cms, so travelling easier. Have seen others use this setup v well.
Any recommendations, with reasons, welcome.
Currently considering a nobile skim 100 cms or carbon co vape 100.
An Axis Tray 94cm is a good choice for the Triton monofoil. Stiff, good width, easy to ride and I can supply for under $1000 if you're interested. Great size for travelling and postage
Look at the Slingshot range, I've ridden the dwarf craft 100, the travel craft 90cm they have the puddle pumper 100cm. Plenty of choice.

Naish Macrochip, cheap and super tough. $650, can't go wrong

Thanks for recommendations. Think I'm going to try the carbon co. I like the shape as it's familiar. Stepping stone to a full pocket board, maybe. That Naish Nacrochip looks like a sweet deal though.
You have probably bought your board already. If not you may look at CrazyFly Pure. They do the lightest carbon and reasonably priced boards. I have 99cm one and yet to test 88cm option. 77cm is the smallest.
I like slingshot hopecraft 100cm, but it is about 3kg or so. All Pures are below 2kg. You may need to find custom lengh screws and/or spacers to attach any non-CrazyFly foil to Pure.
I have never tried Naish but I have seen it and looks great.

They look like great boards except.. no tracks would be a deal breaker for me. Especially with a pocket board where you can't compensate with foot position.
I just got the Slingshot travel craft for $499 and immediately took it on a trip to France. Took a second to get used to (I was on a Dwarfcraft 110cm before and I'm 235lbs), but I love the lighter weight, packable size, and the price.

Where did you get your Slingshot Travel Craft from? Can seem to find any stock in Oz. I currently have borrowed a mates Naish Macro but yet to try it. Always looking at alternatives.
We'll I finally got out on my triton T1 and a carbonco vape 100. Love it. First session I tried without straps but the board and foil both float high in the water so the board floats away from your feet very easily, affecting launch. I've no doubt this would get easier, but I tried loose front staps and bingo!
Foil really feels skatey as I've been told to expect, but not uncontrollable at all. It turns really well, runs really cleanly and, when I do breach a little, there's no fuss. It just settles back down quickly. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this.
Safety with less sharp points and flatter packing for travelling are added bonuses.
Thanks to the guys who introduced me to this.
