This six year old kid surfs better than you do!

"The future is full of big waves, peeling barrels and final heats with the worlds best for six year old surfer Kai Kai Alcala."
He starts grade two this year, and already he's pulling into barrels like a pro. Granted, they're not big barrels, but Kai Kai Alcala isn't a big kid! Standing up at only 3'6", he's got a ways to go before he can start grabbing his uncles 6'0" shorty off the rack. Thankfully, shapers are perfectly happy to carve out a miniature board for kids these days - and this board gets some serious use.

Living in the Phillipines, his Mom is the five time national surfing champ, and his uncle took out the Cloud 9 Masters. Three times. His Pa as surfed some of the heaviest waves on earth. Kai Kai thinks he's crazy, but give him a few years and he'll be charging down monsters of similar size for sure. Surfing is in his blood, and with a mentor like Kyron Rathbone (he's dating Kai Kai's mum) the future is full of big waves, peeling barrels and final heats with the worlds best.

"I love surfing. Kiteboard. Paddleboard. Skateboard. Basketball." Says Kai Kai, " I really really love Uno! I always beat my pa"

This 6 year old learned to surf before he could swim, and he's so full of stoke that you can't help but smile when you watch him surf. Check him out in the clip below.
