Soul Surfing in Indo - 9ft and Single by Deus'

Ganggu Right turned on the most perfect logger waves - EVER.
Sure the world tour is high octane action, but where's the soul? This surf comp had it, held by Deus in Bali, they say that the Canggu Rivermouth was the best it has EVER been, for a 4 day festival for single fins.

Well; not just single fin surfboards - bodysurfing, art, movies, food and music. Soul surfing stuff, in Bali, with a huge crowd of soul surfers and some surfing royalty. Mctavish. Heard o' him? He was there. So was Jye Byrnes and Thomas Bexon, for the surfboard shapers forum held on one night of the event. Surfers of note were there too, but nobody dwelled on who was famous and who wasn't. It was a case of chilling out in Bali for four days on a cracker of a right-hander. The Ganggu Rivermouth.

They call it Canggu Right, because that's the direction is goes. 4-7 foot and clean as the outline of a single fin, they say it was the best it's ever been for the comp. Allowing the riders both power to lay down some flowing turns, and a little shade to shelter from the Bali Sun, yet keeping everything close enough for the spectators, Canggu really put on a show.

Speaking of, the Lady Loggers event turned out to be the highlight everyone expected. Eight lovely ladies paddled out on their singles and turned the crowd on for a solid 45 minutes, before a wayward party wave ended the show with a makeshift operating table and a few stitches. Luckily, it was only a fin to the ankle, and the Hawaiian girl Sierra Lerback took it all in her stride. Laughing as she was carried out of the water.

The photos are incredible, the video is even better, and this doesn't even cover the ladies, or the bodysurfing! There really is something classy about single fin surfing. Watch it below.
