Beth Hamilton goes for a surf, post baby.
Two months after giving birth to her first child, Tobias, Beth Hamilton has posted a photo on social media of her going for a surf, but it hasn't all been praise.
Hitting back in response to comments about her 'post baby body', the world renowned surfer replied with a statement that stopped the keyboard warriors in their tracks.
"I find it silly for us as women to worry about our body as we grow a human being inside of us! It is such an amazing feat to go through pregnancy. And then you have this wonderful lil being that is part you and part of your significant other. It's natural and HEALTHY to gain weight. Here I am two months after giving birth to Tobias. I feel great and healthy! It takes 9 months for our bodies to change and grow. So I can say it's alright to take your time, maybe about 9 months, to get back to the new, healthy, beautiful, and normal you."
Every surfer knows the Beth Hamilton story, and if you can't place the name, all we need to say is 'one arm' and your mind will be filled with images of a beautiful young girl who can surf better than most guys in the world. Now she's got a bigger challenge ahead of her, and shorter surf sessions!
Rest assured the surfing community will be kept in the loop during the first years of motherhood, because there's a film being shot as we type!
