Lets face it, the child of Beth Hamilton was always going to be a red hot surfer grom. Who wouldn't be when your mum is one of the best surfers on the planet?

Even before the birth of her child Tobias, Beth Hamilton was making baby-related headlines as she dropped into Teahupoo while pregnant - yep, that 6 month old kid has surfed bigger waves than you have! It sure gives a very literal meaning to the phrase 'that kid was getting barreled before he was born!' Then, she was snapped surfing very shortly after giving birth, only a day or so after in fact, shining light on just how important the sport is to her - a sentiment to which many readers will relate.

This week it was Jaws, not the baby, his mum! Towed in to solid sized winter bombs for the morning, Hamilton was the star of the show until Nic Porcello got smashed while kiteboarding. Young Tobias was there, watching mum from the headland and enjoying pics with the worlds best pro surfers before and after the session. They were all there to film a scene for the movie 'Surfs Like a Girl', which has been following Beth for months as she proves that doing something 'Like a girl', does not have to mean what it always has.

Back to this surfing baby though, who has really got the whole professional surfing thing mapped out for him. Just as long as he doesn't get led down the path of video games and television before he can duckdive (pfft, as if!), this kid has got it made. Look out Kelly Slater, an heir to your throne has been born!
