Eight members of the Bundaberg Sailing Club travelled to Airlie Beach recently to participate in the 2015 Race Week.

Four members, Gail and Michael Bayer, Peter Arney and Max Hewitt crewed on the Alan Sneddon owned Beneteau 405 "Pacific Phoenix" in Cruising Div.2 while Ross780 owner/skipper Derek Foley along with John Learmonth, John Grose and Jim Lollious towed Derek's boat "Wicked" up from Bundy to compete in Cruising Div.3.

The 10th place finish for the Bundy crew on "Pacific Phoenix" was a little disappointing but the crew on "Wicked" took home some silverware after placing third in their division.

Changing sailing conditions throughout the week provided the perfect opportunity for skippers and crews to test themselves in a variety of wind strengths.
