VIC: School holiday program for the Marine Discovery Centre
Connect with the sun, salt and sand this spring by participating in the Queenscliff Marine Discovery Centre’s spring holiday program.
The Department of Primary Industries’ Marine Discovery Centre’s spring holiday program will run from September 26 to October 7 and offers activities for people of all ages.
Canoeing, photography and an adventure to uncover the mysteries of the curious creatures and slippery plants that live in rockpools are just some of the activities available through our spring program.
Explore rocky shores, mudflats, spectacular underwater reefs, sandy beaches, calm sheltered lagoons and the natural wonders of Port Phillip Bay and Swan Bay with the centre’s experienced educators.
There are a great range of activities on offer this year including rock pool rambling at Point Lonsdale, marine biology cruises on the bay, canoeing adventures on Swan Bay and creative arts in the marine craft room.
While having fun you will learn about the diverse range of species in Port Phillip Bay and Swan Bay, and how to keep their habitats healthy, ensuring fish for now and for the future.
The Marine Discovery Centre provides education services for Fisheries Victoria, part of the Department of Primary Industries.
For bookings or more information, contact the Marine Discovery Centre on (03) 5258 3344 or email marine.discovery@dpi.vic.gov.au or check out the program online.
