Fisheries Victoria has released a draft Aboriginal Fishing Strategy for public comment until 10 December 2010.
 
The draft Strategy contains proposals that would recognise Aboriginal customary fishing rights, increase Aboriginal participation in fisheries management and improve economic opportunities for Aboriginal people in the fishing industry.
